#9 out of 20 Artist: Stan Lee

Stan Lee, today

Who in the world is Stan Lee? you might be asking, but I am going to tell you. Stan Lee is another creator of comic(yes! another comic blog). Stan Lee is not a creator for DC, he was a creator for Marvel comic. What is in Marvel?

Marvel is another comic company another then DC comic. Stan Lee is even more famous then Joe. The reason why Stan Lee is more famous then Joe because Stan Lee create more heroes. Such as Spider-man, Iron-man, X-men, The Hulk, Daredevil, Fantastic 4 and Thor, but the list goes on what he create and I am not going to list all the character.

Stan Lee is the owner of Marvel, but he did not started that mission in the first place. Stan Lee were born in 1922 and still a live today. Before Marvel took over DC comic, DC comic was the king of the world. The hottest comic such as Superman, Batman, Wonder woman and other big heroes was acting like they can't be stop, but that was before Stan Lee took over. Stan Lee grew up in the busy city of New York, and have his only brother with his family. Stan Lee was a "On-Fire" guy, he kept working and don't stop working. He took his work serious growing up. He worked as writing obituaries for a news service and press releases for the National Tuberculosis Center. He was never home during those hours, but he made  a lot of money. He is a very smart man, as he finish high school when he was 16 and half. After he finish high school he, joined WPA Federal Theater Project, but as the time he join, his uncle taught Stan Lee something that he thought will never happen and that is Comic.

His Uncle, taught Stan Lee how to make his own comic and create how to put a good story. Stan Lee falls in love of making comic and want to become a Comic creator. He learn a few tips about comic as he help the creator who made Captain America. The creator could not believe about Stan Lee and believe he will be BIG in the world. Stan Lee felt ready to take the next stop of Comic and created Spider-man.

Spider-man first comic

Spider-man is about Peter Parker who want Mary Jane, but Mary Jane was taking. Peter Parker was school paper writer as one day he was bitten by a spider that could had kill Peter Parker. The spider did not killed him and turn him into a SUPER-HERO! taking on crimes in the Street like Superman and Batman. His power was everything spider can do, shoot webs, fly by webs to webs and climb walls. Spider-man have a weakness like a human so Peter Parker was half human and spider.

The Comic took off in one day and become hottest comic dropping Superman to second. Stan Lee career become a path to a good future. With the work of Spider-man, he created more superheroes. Stan Lee keep drawing and creating heroes until the early 90s and become the president of Marvel.

Stan Lee got into the Will Eisner Comic Book hall of Fame and  Jack Kirby Hall of Frame.

Stan Lee is still alive.

#16 Finish the Md-term and waiting for the next thing!

I have finish my SPAM project, but sadly I don't feel  great about it. I am a artist and I love to do BIG project. I arrive with my project and I took a look around the others project, I forgot to tell you. It was a judge pick project. The Rule to drop off the project and come back at 6 to see who the winning of the class and finding the new idea for the next project. I look around and found a few cool project about SPAM. The one project was a SPAM baby, I am not kidding, this guy create that look like a baby out of SPAM. Once I saw it, I had a feeling that person will wins easy and I might be okay.

After I came back from my break and arrive in class at 6, I was hoping that the judge will like mine. It might not too "art", but it is art to me. The winner is....not me. I don't really care about winning and losing since everyone have their rise and fall, The baby SPAM was the talk in the class and I knew it because it was bad-ass project. Now talking about the SPAM baby, I wish I could take a picture of it! Oh well, The teacher will know what I am talking about. NEW PROJECT! wait....not yet, we did not start talking about the project yet. We  sit and watch different artist, but through out the video...I kept saying myself, what the next project gonna be...tell me...tell me...TELL ME! Well, I gotta wait for next time and hoping she will say it.

MID-TERM!

First off, I want to say this is gonna be a bad-ass midterm project, it was a short day to finish it but like other midterms in other class, it come short and not too much times to study.

What the midterm project? It was between Soap or (durmrolls) SPAM! I want to say I have never had Spam in my life, but my dad LOVE Spam, he think it the greatest food, he ever seen. Can I call him crazy? At first I was planning to do Spam from the moment I heard the word come out and make me feel like a challenge to take. I have take many challenge in my life and moved it to the next level, but this was different. I have to use one small can of SPAM...seriously? I don't do small project. I do BIG project.

The soap was a lot smaller to do, so that the reason I pick SPAM because it bigger. The real kicker of this SPAM project, you will get more point, if you use SPAM....it a MUST for me since I want to do good in this class.

I remember my childhood of SPAM, that my dad always tell me about. If you don't eat SPAM, the SPAM monster will get you. I believe him for a while, but did not eat it. I used to go to bed with a baseball bat by my bed just to make sure if the SPAM monster come out! I had a dream after that, when I was looking for foods and the SPAM cans were popping. Their were 20 of them, all popping at once, next thing I know the SPAM cans open and fall on the floor. All 20 SPAM come together and create a HUGE Blob and coming to attack me! I scream so loud and next thing I know, I was awake and scared. The next day, my dad was cooking SPAM...I ask him to cook one for me and I ate it. (It was not bad, after all)

#8 out of 20 Artist: Phildias

You might not know who is this artist, but the reason I pick this guy is because he was into Greek myths like me. Meet Phildias, the 8th out of 20 artist I have talk about on this paper. (left)

Group of Greek Gods

Before I talk about Phidias, can you tell me about Greek myth? Greek myths been my studies since I got into it my freshman year in high school. After that I could never get my eyes off of it. Greek myths are "Greek gods" there are many of Greek gods in the story such as, Zeus, Poseidon, Hera, Eros, Demeter and etc. This one Greek god got made into a sculptor, meet Athena Parthenos.

Phidias was a Greek sculptor in 430 BC, where Greek believe in their own god and "normal" God was not born yet. Phidias was in order to handle making "Greek Gods" sculptor and his first was Athena Parthenos, but his art works did not stop there, he keep on going to make more sculptor such as Zeus sitting in the chair at the Olympia, Acropolis and Aspasia. The viewer took Phidias seriously and give him warm feeling to have him keep going and making more Greek myth sculptor, but sadly his sculptor ended on a bitter note.

Phidias was accused to create a gold colors on Athena inside the Parthenon. Pericle enemies found a lair witness against Phidias who named was Menon. Phidias went to prison and stay until he die.

#14 HALLELUJAH!!! the Coke war is over!

After 9 bottles, 77 cans, 14 super glues, hot glue and three to four hours each day for a week. I have FINISH IT! 

You have no idea how happy I am to be done with Coke, because the coke is killing me! Anyway, looking at the project that I finish, I could not be any happier. The needle look what I drew(that the first). Starting off with the pusher, I used all can, some of the cans are flat as it build up to a three cans together stander. To me I kinda thought I was making a tree because the project seems to be BIG. After getting the cans and  build a pusher, I used one of the two litter (drank one) and use it as a holder. what I meant by a holder, when you look at the needle, they are not going to push itself. They have the two flat thing above the pusher to help push the needle in. Still don't know what I mean? look at the needle picture. (right)

The center of the needle was the easy part of the project, I only need 9 bottles of coke and sack two of into 3 rows. The other three was inside the pusher just in case the center can hold on and fall into place. the bottle was finish in two hours, so I did not have a hard time with them, but the hardest part about them was thinking where to put it. I was planning to use the bottles as a pusher and cans in the center, but I took a look at my bottles and it seem like it will be very hard to flats them and too much to out in. What if it look ugly? that was my question going through my head as I was putting the project together.

The needle did not stop there, moving up to look at the top of the needle. I cut out a lot of cans to cover the empty space that need to cover to look like a needle, It was easy as well, but putting that part together was using a lot of super glues in that area and super glues don't like me one bit. I kept on getting super glue all over my hand and it hurt when I try to pull it off between my hand and the coke cans. The final part of this project was the needle, I felt that part was an okay part because it was a BIG needle and mostly needle are small. After looking at the project it seem to fit the whole thing. The reason why I did it was, I love COKE(not now!) and I believe I was addict to it. The real story was my friend. He was a drug addict and needle was his favorites to use. I remember when he first use it, I told him you will addict to it and he did not believe a words I said to him. 3 months before I finish High school and I was in track practice. My friends kept calling me like someone die. I answer the phone and my friend said he in the hospital, he was overdose on needle and almost killed him. I was scared and I admit that I did cry, and zoomed to the hospital after I got the call. It was a scary time for me. He promise me he will go to Rehab, he kept his promise and went to Rehab. He is now clean for three years and going strong.(above..his name is Dustin)

#13 Dying from Coke!

See! this dog was overdose from COKE!

Half way through the Coke project, I felt like I am dying in this project. No, I don't mean that I am going to die, but it feel like I am and having too much sugar in my body. I am going to live with this project and after this I am not doing anymore project that might hurt my body. My roommate is home with some of his friend and I am bugging them to drink COKE! hahaha maybe I should be nice to them about drinking coke, but this coke craps is a lot of work. I am toughing it out and still doing it. The project in the other hands is coming out GREAT!

It will be nice if I had a lot of that money

I am shock how cool it is looking, before I even started I thought this project will be an okay start, but after working on it for 3 to 4 hours a day, I believe my project is going to beat the CLASS! I have ask the people in my class of what their idea in project #2, it all seem small, but I won't be 100% sure until I see it. The only thing I am worry about the project is...if it too big I mean, I like to create BIG things and the bigger the project is, the easier it get for me. It sucks that I am wasting all my money on coke, right now. Because case of Coke is a lot of money, I went to the $1 store to see of they have coke stuff. They got Coke, but only a litter. I brought two for my center part, but I NEED CANS! I am going to tell you what in and what I add to this project because right now I felt like I have waste almost $100 on this...

Cans(so far 62): 12 pack each are $5.50 plus tax with is total $6.33...so far brought 6 case total 37.98

Total: 86.23(so far)

so yea, the project is a lot of money, but I am putting my heart out for this one.

#7 out of 20 artist: Rebecca Horn

Okay, We learn this in class a few weeks ago, but I found this artist awesome to look at. with her 3-D works, is something I can stop looking.

Rebecca Horn was born in 1944, but she is a famous German installation artist. She use most of her art work with the body, but almost as a transformation things too. She is notable with four of her works and I am going to explain the four notable works to you. (left)

"Pencil Mask" - The pencil mask was design for the face, it was not use to write with your hand. You use your face to write. With 6 pencil on the mask, and with black leather mask. To work it, you have to move back and forth with your face and let your face write. I bet it hard to write with your face and you grow up with writing with your hand. (right)

"Finger Gloves"-Anyone see "Edward Scissor-hand"? this next item just think of that movie but with no scissor adding to the hands. Also the Finger Gloves is double the size as Eward scissor-hand. Looking at this items I wanna try, anyone else?(left)

"Feather Finger"-FLY my friend! FLY! this Feather Finger is simple as it get. Horn create this idea to believe in flying, She want to fly. Adding feather to her finger was not the case, she also add wings to her hand to the upper body, making everyone think that she is a person who want to fly(like me) but like a bird. (I want to fly like Superman!) (right)

"Unicorn"- All you girls out there, I know you believe in unicorn and don't lie because I have a sister even tho she 25, she still wish unicorn are real. In this project Horn create a Unicorn arts. She did not add the full wear of the unicorn, but looking at the picture she add the one horn from a Unicorn. Making me wonder if that can be a unicorn. While looking at her works, I don't really see it until I saw the tittle. If I can feedback Mrs. horn.....Please add more items to the Unicorn, the horn don't really cover it and also it double the size as a unicorn can be.(left)
